Other Suggestions...
  • Other yarns that will work well:  Vanna’s Choice, Red Heart With Love, Caron Simply Soft, Lion Brand Heartland, Knit Picks Chroma Worsted, Malabrigo Worsted
  • Natural fibers would work very well, too!
  • For a little extra slouch, crochet the first 5 rounds using an L (8.0 mm) hook.  For a LOT more slouch, repeat Rounds 7-9 one more time before beginning the SC band.
  • You can also block the hat to set your stitches & help provide a little extra slouch.
  • The Elaine Slouch looks great in solid, variegated, striped, or self-striping yarns.
  • For some extra color, try crocheting every SC row/round using a contrasting color.
