Notes
  1. If you know you crochet loosely, you may want to use a smaller hook.  The crown will stretch with wear.
  2. The CH-1 or CH-2 at the beginning of each round does NOT count as a stitch.  Join the end of each round to the top of the 1st ST.
  3. Crowns can be made in 2 styles: KING or QUEEN.  Work Rounds 1-3 as written, then choose either style for the 4th round.

Other Suggestions

  • If you would like to increase the height of the crown, feel free to add an additional round or two of SC.
  • Add buttons, ribbons, beads, or any other embellishments to your crown to make it look fancy!
  • For rounded peaks, work 8 DC in place of the ‘king’ or ‘queen’ peak instructions.
  • Work your crown in a funky variegated yarn, or trim the bottom in fun fur to make it unique!
