Notes
- The hat is worked in a continuous spiral. Do not join at the end of each round. Use a stitch marker to keep track.

Using I hook, start with Magic Ring.

Bear Ears
Using H hook, start with Magic Ring.
Row 1: CH 2, 10 DC in ring, CH 1, turn. (12 DC for larger ears)
Row 2: HDC in each DC across. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew ears near rounds 3 and 4 (or anywhere you prefer).
- Hold a strand of fun fur along with your yarn to make a fuzzy bear.
- Crochet a flower to add to one ear.
- Add stripes, or use variegated or self-striping yarns for a colorful bear.
- Add ear flaps to make a warm hat for winter.
- Omit ears for a great basic beanie.
